ISLAMABAD, Jun 02: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday met Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and discussed the law and order situation in the province, counter-terrorism measures and other matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed steps being taken to combat terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Governor briefed the interior minister on the security challenges facing the province and exchanged views on measures to ensure lasting peace and stability.
Governor Kundi and Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the security forces for conducting successful intelligence-based operations against terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan and honored the sacrifices rendered by martyrs in the fight against terrorism.
The interior minister assured full cooperation for maintaining peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying the sacrifices of security forces for the restoration of peace in the province were unforgettable.
He said the federal government was extending complete support to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for strengthening security and ensuring durable peace across the province.
