BEIJING, JUN 21: Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan met Li Jin Song, founder of Tang Chinese Education, at the institution’s headquarters in Beijing on Sunday to discuss expanding Pakistan-China cooperation in education, language learning, skills development and youth empowerment, as both sides explored new avenues to equip Pakistani youth with globally competitive skills and create greater academic opportunities.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in Chinese language education, vocational training and capacity building initiatives aimed at preparing young Pakistanis for emerging opportunities in an increasingly interconnected global economy.
Pakistan, China eye new youth education partnership
Rana Mashhood said investing in youth through quality education, international partnerships and market oriented skills development is essential for Pakistan’s future.
He highlighted the PMYP’s efforts to provide young people with access to world class educational opportunities, language learning programmes and professional training.
He said Pakistan’s youth remained the country’s greatest asset and stressed that stronger educational and cultural linkages with China would open new avenues for learning, innovation and career growth.
Li Jin Song reaffirmed Tang Chinese Education’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote language proficiency, academic excellence and cultural understanding among Pakistani students.
He expressed confidence that deeper educational cooperation would further strengthen the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China.
The two sides also discussed youth exchange programmes and agreed to explore additional collaborative initiatives designed to create meaningful pathways for students and young professionals under the broader framework of Pakistan China cooperation.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation in education, skills development and youth engagement, reflecting a shared vision of empowering the next generation through knowledge, innovation and people-to-people connectivity.
The officials said that the engagement underscored the growing role of educational diplomacy in strengthening Pakistan-China relations and creating new opportunities for youth in both countries.
