11 terrorists killed in KP, Balochistan IBOs: Security sources

ISLAMABAD (DNA News) Security forces have killed 11 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, security sources said on Thursday.

According to the sources, the operations were conducted in Bannu and South Waziristan in KP, and Khuzdar district in Balochistan.

Two terrorists affiliated with Fitna Al Khawarij were killed during an operation in Bannu, with weapons and ammunition recovered. Their hideout was also destroyed, the sources said.

In the Ladha area of South Waziristan, security forces killed five terrorists after tracking their movement following an intelligence tip-off.

Meanwhile, four terrorists affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan were killed in an operation in the Sasool area of Khuzdar. The terrorists were targeted with the assistance of quadcopters, according to security sources.

The sources said security forces took measures to protect civilians during the operations, with no loss of life or property reported among the local population.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the operations and reiterated their resolve to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan.
