KABUL: The Acting Interior Minister of the Islamic Emirate Khalifa Serajuddin Haqqani met with the delegations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Ulamas, the ministry said in a statement Tuesday. Commending the countrywide security by the Islamic Emirate, the delegations of OIC said that in addition to countrywide peace and stability, the IEA has made significant developments in the past two years on various grounds, according to the statement.

“By implementing a better monetary policy, the Islamic Emirate has been able to maintain the value of the Afghani currency stable among the currencies of the regional countries and by preventing activities of the criminal groups including Daesh and banning cultivation and drug trafficking the IEA has fulfilled its commitments to the organization,” the statement quoted the delegation as saying. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Haqqani said that after the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate significant developments has been made in various fields and the country is going towards development and prosperity, the statement added.

“Education is a common need of Muslims, saying that the women’s education is the need of our society and this problem will be solved by considering the conditions,” the statement quoted Haqqani as saying. The minister according to the statement, went on as saying that the visits and meetings of the scholars of the Islamic countries with IEA’s officials will play a vital role in the strengthening and positive interaction of the IEA with the world countries; particularly, with Islamic countries, emphasizing on continuation more visits and meetings.
