DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Apr 06 (dna): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader
Ali Amin Gandapur was on Thursday arrested in Dera Ismail (DI) Khan
following a five-hour-long standoff.

According to details, the police arrested the PTI leader from the
premises of Peshawar High Court Dera Bench.

The police team – headed by District Police Officer (DPO) Dera – shifted
Ali Amin Gandapur to an unknown location. The former federal minister
was present in the premises of High Court for almost 5 hours.

Reports said that former federal minister for Kashmir affairs and
Gilgit-Baltistan was arrested from outside the high court premises as he
had taken refuge in the court to avoid arrest. A huge contingent of
police had been present outside the court to arrest him since morning.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan swiftly responded on the arrest of the Ali Amin
Gandapur.

He tweeted, “Today complete law of the jungle prevails in Pak. PDM &
handlers have a one point agenda – that is to go after PTI workers &
leadership. It was decided preemptively to arrest Ali Amin Gandapur
despite bails. But they will still be decimated in the elections
InshaAllah.”
