Azerbaijan, Pakistan join hands to beautify Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Jul 18 (APP):In a landmark initiative to enhance the beauty of the Federal Capital, Chairman Horticulture Experts Team of Azerbaijan recently met with CDA Chairman, Mohammad Ali Randhawa, to kickstart the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Baku and Islamabad.

Under this collaboration, horticulture experts from Azerbaijan will initially focus on renovating and landscaping four key locations including Srinagar Highway, Shakar Parian, Saidpur Village, and Melody Food Park.

This effort is part of a larger plan by the CDA’s environment teams, which are already carrying out landscaping work in various other areas of the city.

Randhawa, emphasized the urgency of the project, directing that work on the Islamabad beautification plan should commence immediately.

He stressed that horticulture work should be conducted simultaneously at all sites across the city to ensure a cohesive and swift transformation.

In addition to the landscaping efforts, the Engineering Wing of Baku will provide expert technical advice and support, enhancing the project’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Azerbaijan will also gift various horticulture tools and machinery to Pakistan, significantly boosting the local capability for such endeavours.

Moreover, the horticulture experts from Baku will establish a nursery in Islamabad, further contributing to the city’s green initiatives.

Chairman Randhawa highlighted the importance of setting clear timelines for the renovation of all targeted areas, ensuring that the project proceeds smoothly and punctually.
