ISLAMABAD, APR 25 /DNA/ – The 54th National Day of Bangladesh was celebrated with great fervor in Islamabad, marking a significant moment in Pakistan-Bangladesh diplomatic relations. The event, hosted by the High Commission of Bangladesh, saw an unprecedented attendance of high-level dignitaries, signaling a positive shift in bilateral ties.
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif attended the reception as the chief guest. In his remarks, he emphasized the cordial nature of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and expressed Islamabad’s keen interest in further expanding political, economic, and cultural cooperation with Dhaka.
“We value our relations with Bangladesh and look forward to deepening our engagement in various sectors,” said the Defence Minister, highlighting the historic and cultural connections that bind the two nations.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan, Iqbal Hussain, also addressed the gathering. He underscored Bangladesh’s desire to maintain strong and friendly relations with Pakistan, while stressing the need for enhanced cooperation and mutual understanding.
