ISLAMABAD, Jul 28 (APP):Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Sunday visited Trail 5 at Margalla Hills with a group of children to promote a tree plantation drive.

The initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of planting trees and encourage children to take an active role in environmental conservation.

During the visit, Chairman Randhawa planted trees alongside the children and took a selfie with them to promote the campaign.

He emphasized the significance of children planting trees for themselves, their families, and future generations.

To encourage public participation, the CDA is providing free plants and seedballs to visitors of the Margalla Trails, inviting them to upload a selfie on their social media handles after planting trees with hashtag #selfiewithtree.

Chairman Randhawa appealed to all visitors to join the campaign and track the progress of their planted trees.

The CDA Chairman stressed the need for collective efforts to make the campaign successful, urging the corporate sector, civil society, and individuals to play their part in promoting environmental sustainability.

The event was attended by staff from the Environment, Forestry, and CDA departments, who expressed their commitment to making the tree plantation drive a success.

This initiative is part of the CDA’s efforts to promote a green and sustainable environment in the capital city.

By engaging children in tree planting activities, the authority aims to instill a sense of responsibility and ownership among the younger generation to protect the environment.
