ISLAMABAD, MAY 04 (DNA) — On the directives of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Emergency and Disaster Management (E&DM) Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) organized a special ceremony to commemorate International Firefighters’ Day at the E&DM Headquarters, Islamabad. CDA Member Administration, Talat Mahmood, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The event featured a comprehensive fire and rescue mock drill exercise, an awareness walk to educate the public on the importance of installing fire safety equipment in homes for timely protection against fire hazards, and a flag march to honor the valor and dedication of firefighters. These activities were aimed at highlighting the critical role firefighters play in protecting lives and property, often at great personal risk.
