DC presides District Peace and Interfaith Harmony Committee meeting

ATTOCK, 01 Apr: A meeting of the District Peace Committee and Interfaith Harmony Committee chaired by Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza was held in the DC office on Monday.

The meeting reviewed the security arrangements made on the occasion of the last Ashra of Ramazan, Jumu’atul-Wida and Eid-ul-Fitr.

As per reported by our district representative faisal munir that District Police Officer (DPO), Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan, Members District Peace Committee, Social Worker Ms. Shireen Aslam, officers of other relevant departments and Members of the Interfaith Harmony Committee attended the meeting.

The deputy commissioner Atif Raza said that the district administration has completed all measures on the occasion of Jumu’atul-Wida and Eid-ul-Fitr and full municipal services will be provided to the participants on both these occasions. He said that peace, brotherhood, and unity among Muslims should be promoted.

District Police Officer (DPO) that foolproof security arrangements would be ensured during these days. He said that islam conveys the message of tolerance, love, and peace. All members of the society should play their role in the establishment of the law and order. Fool-proof security will be provided to the participants on the occasion of the religious gatherings of Jumu’atul-Wida and Eid-ul-Fitr, he added.

DPO, Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan said that Control rooms will also be established at district and tehsil level from where all activities will be closely monitored.
