Entry tests for MPhil/Ph.D. peacefully held at ICCBS-UoK

KARACHI, AUG 06 (DNA) — The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi (UoK) peacefully organized a test for admission to the internationally famous MPhil & Ph.D. Degree Programme-2023 of the ICCBS, University of Karachi (UoK) at its premises on Sunday.

ICCBS, University of Karachi is the only institution in Pakistan that is not only certified by ISO but also became ‘UNESCO, WHO, OIC, and NAM- S&T Centre for Excellence’.

A spokesman of the ICCBS – University of Karachi on Sunday said that hundreds of candidates appeared in the test that started at 10:00 am and concluded at 12 noon in the Prof. Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Auditorium – ICCBS.

On the special instructions of Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, and COMSTECH Coordinator-General, strict security arrangements were made and unauthorized individuals were not allowed near the test center, the spokesman said.

He said that the test results will be announced on the center’s and the University’s website on August 7, while the final merit list will also be announced soon.As per the policy of the international center, all admissions will be given to students purely on a merit basis under the announced higher learning program of the University of Karachi, the spokesman said.

The successful students will have to appear in the interviews, he said, and maintained that the successful students will be given admission to the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), University of Karachi and H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi.

It is pertinent to mention here that for candidates’ convenience, a shuttle bus service was also provided from Maskan Gate and Campus Gate (near Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center) to the ICCBS. The admission test was conducted in a peaceful and disciplined manner, the official said. — DNA
