BEIJING, 16 SEP (DNA) — The 16th Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo opened at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center, showcasing how technological cooperation is translating into concrete projects, China Economic Net (CEN) reported on Wednesday.
Running through Sept 13 under the theme “AI Transformation for a Brighter Future,” the expo features five exhibition halls and more than 380 enterprises, institutions and industry organizations presenting frontier technologies, innovative products, solutions and applications aimed at empowering new industrialization and advancing digital-intelligent urban development.
Among the participants in the global digital intelligence collaboration zone is Enfiniti Innovate, an open platform co-founded by Chinese and Pakistani entrepreneurs that connects international researchers and startups with China’s industrial ecosystem to accelerate project implementation in South Asia and Africa and other BRI countries.
At its booth, Enfiniti is displaying a portfolio spanning smart agriculture, AI-powered healthcare, horizontal technology transfer, R&D cooperation and consultation services. A highlight is the Smart Mobile Soil Laboratory, which integrates real-time soil testing, intelligent data analysis and AI-driven agricultural decision-making to support precision farming.
The technology has already been implemented in Pakistan. “The feedback has been overwhelmingly strong,” said Dr. Sami Iqbal, co-founder of Enfiniti Innovate. “Having a platform like this to showcase cutting-edge technologies and exchange ideas with peers has been tremendously rewarding.
We have already scheduled follow-up visits and in-depth discussions.” For BRI partners, such platforms signal a shift from connectivity-focused cooperation to applied innovation in agriculture, healthcare and manufacturing, turning joint research into solutions that can be deployed in local economies, he added.
The company also unveiled a new oral disintegrating film product co-developed with a Chinese pharmaceutical partner, marking another step in its efforts to translate laboratory research into market-ready products.
The zone’s international character was further reflected by a Canadian AI smart health mirror, Cameroonian AI digital employee, Russian AIGC digital human and French photovoltaic energy storage solution, etc.
Their presence underscores the expo’s role as a meeting point for global digital intelligence, where technology transfer and R&D cooperation can be matched with China’s industrial capacity and market demand. — DNA
