ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Fawad Chaudhary made it clear that the PTI would not back-pedal from its ongoing struggle for real independence and the imported government left with no option exception to announce date for fresh polls otherwise the PTI would give a final countrywide protest call within two weeks.

Briefing the media about the PTI Core Committee meeting held with PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the chair here on Saturday, which was attended by top party’s leadership, he said that all party’s organizations were given clear instructions to be get themselves prepared for the anti-inflation protest demonstrations.

He asked the party workers to wait for the final call in September, as Imran Khan would give a befitting reply to those who were spreading religious hatred against him.

Fawad stated that the days of the imported government were numbered and should do what they want as they had left with little time.

During the meeting, he said that the participations expressed full confidence in PTI Chairman’s leadership.   

He said that the Core committee also voiced serious concerns over the country’s economic meltdown, rising street crimes and the political situation.

In the meeting, he said that Imran Khan demanded the snap polls, which was only solution to get the country out of the prevailing untold crises.

Fawad stated that the PTI would not budge an inch from its stated position and would continue to fight until materialize the dream of making Pakistan an independent state in real sense.

However, he said that the PTI was open for talks provided the imported government gave deadline for the elections. 

He said that it was reported that Khwaja Asif expressed desire of talks with PTI, which was positive development.

Fawad went on to say that the interim government was inevitable, as there was no constitutional provision for technocrat setup, as it would be tantamount to martial law.

He stated that it was in the best interest of the country to hold polls without creating a tumults and chaotic situation in the country.

However, Fawad warned that if the government resisted and dragged the polls any more than Imran Khan would give a final protest call, which would either help establish a true and ideal democracy in the country or would turn the country like North Korea and Burma.

He said that the government would be held responsible if anything wrong happen instead of PTI.

Talking about anti-Iman Khan campaign, Fawad said that provincial governments of PTI were asked to take notice of the hateful campaign and take appropriate legal action.

He said that PTI would will give an effective response to the hateful campaign. Fawad thanked the scholars who condemned the hatred campaign and supported Imran Khan.

Fawad said that Asif Ali Zardari had no threat to the PTI as he was like expired bullet. 

He said that the incompetence and inaptness of the government was evident from the fact that after getting IMF package, they failed to rein in the free-fall of the rupee, as the dollar was flying high.

He lamented that Shehbaz Sharif had no plan except to make cry the people, as they were struggle to make both ends meet, adding that around 1 million of people would likely to be rendered jobless in next few months. 

Talking about the rising lawlessness, Fawad stated that an alarming upsurge had been witnessed in the street crimes in major cities of the country.

He said that the live of the people of Karachi were made miserable, as the criminals even not spared the small shops. 

Talking about the flood situation, Fawad stated that Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government made effective strategies to cope with flood devastations.

However, he added that the federal government was clueless, as nothing could be seen on their part of the ground to ameliorate the sufferings of the flood-stricken masses.   

Fawad lauded oversees Pakistani, who donated around Rs. 11 billion for the flood affected people through two telethons. 

He said that the governments of Punjab and KP have been directed to devise a plan so as to ensure speedy and transparent distribution of the money among the flood victims.
