Foreign Minister’s telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Iran

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Iran Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, today.

During the call, the two Foreign Ministers discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional situation. Both sides agreed to intensify efforts to further expand bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

The Foreign Minister thanked for the Iranian leadership’s consistent support to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Foreign Minister Dr. Abdollahian extended felicitations on the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence.

Pakistan and Iran enjoy close fraternal relations, rooted in shared history, common culture, and people-to-people linkages. The two countries share perspectives on a range of regional and global issues of mutual interest.
