FPCCI signs MoU with MUSIAD, Turkey

KARACHI – Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) signed an MOU with MUSIAD, Turkey to facilitate trade and business opportunities between Pakistan and Turkey. The Virtual Signing Ceremony was held by video-link. Sheikh Sultan Rehman, Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry said that this MOU is the first step towards strengthening and revitalizing trade between Pakistan and Turkey.

Abdurrahman KAAN, President MUSIAD said in his introductory remarks that MÜSİAD EXPO attracts more and more exhibitors and a wider diversity of industries each year, and continues to bolster and enhance trade. The MUSIAD EXPO 2020 Fair is organized at TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul – Turkey. Embracing innovation and keeping abreast of global trends, MÜSİAD EXPO Fair receives support and demand from across the world. MÜSİAD Expo welcomes exhibitors from numerous industries and hosts networking events, panel discussions, and B2B business meetings. He said that Signing MOU with the FPCCI Pakistan will provide unique trade opportunities for exhibitors and visitors of both countries.

Sheikh Sultan Rehman stated that FPCCI, being the apex body of trade and industry in Pakistan is engaged in the promotion of Pakistan’s global trade. He expressed his gratitude for signing the MOU with MUSIAD because the global economic and trade dynamics are changing due to emerging challenges especially after the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. He hoped that this MOU will remove bottlenecks and barriers that are impeding our economic and trade relations. The holding of exhibitions, B2B meetings, and exchange of trade delegations should be encouraged and would further promote bilateral trade.

He hoped that this MOU would help to bring closer the business communities of the two countries for a meaningful and substantial increase in economic activities between Pakistan and Turkey and pave the way for economic prosperity through trade expansion.
