LAHORE, OCT 5: The Ferozepur Road Industrial Association (FRIA) Senior Vice Chairman Shahbaz Aslam has greeted newly-elected office-bearers of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and PPPA’s landslide victory in the LCCI elections, hoping the new leadership would safeguard interests of business community. He said the LCCI body would continue to raise voice for the solution of business community’s problems. He said that our all candidates, after the hot contest with rivals, clinched all seats, as our candidates were highly qualified, young and dedicated enjoying the highest degree of integrity. He congratulated the newly-elected LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad, Senior Vice President Khalid Usman and Vice-President Shahid Nazir, saying the PPP Alliance victory with a thumping majority is an endorsement of the economic policies of the Alliance.
FRIA SVC said that the victory of the Alliance’s candidates is a victory of the entire business community that would help them get their issues resolved with a new vigour and strength.
Shahbaz Aslam said that the number of votes cast in favour of the PPP Alliance is enough to prove that the business community has always been with the Alliance, adding this was the biggest victory by the Alliance. He paid rich tributes to the leadership Mian Anjum Nisar for putting in their all energies to ensure a comfortable victory. He said that all efforts would be made to facilitate the members of LCCI for smooth functioning of their businesses.
FRIA leader said rivals could not find good candidates against high profile candidates. He urged the government to focus on arresting the downward graph of dwindling export on an urgent basis and provide a package of incentives to boost exports.
