ISLAMABAD:
Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Vice-President of the European Commission visited Islamabad for high-level meetings with Pakistani officials. During her visit, she also met Romania’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dan Stoenescu, where discussions centered on regional cooperation and recent security concerns.
Ambassador Stoenescu highlighted the recent Russian drone strike in Galați, Romania, which injured two civilians, and expressed appreciation for the EU’s strong stance on the matter. “I had an excellent meeting with the EU High Representative, Kaja Kallas, at the EU Delegation in Islamabad, alongside other EU ambassadors. On behalf of Minister Oana Țoiu, I thanked her for the EU’s firm position on the recent Russian drone attack in Galați, which injured two innocent Romanian citizens,” Stoenescu stated.

The meetings underscored the EU’s commitment to solidarity among member states and its continued engagement with Pakistan on regional and international issues.
