Hajj 2026: 44% of Pakistan’s Government Quota Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia; 230 Buses Operational in Makkah

MAKKAH MUKRRAMAH, May 09: The arrival of Pakistani pilgrims for the sacred journey of Hajj 2026 is progressing rapidly. To date, a total of 52,195 pilgrims under the government scheme have reached Saudi Arabia via 207 special flights. This figure represents 44% of the total allocated government quota.

To ensure the comfort and guidance of the pilgrims, 1,090 personnel from the Pakistan Hajj Mission are currently performing their duties in the field. According to the mission, 135 flights have landed in Madinah, while 72 flights have arrived at the Jeddah airport. In addition to the government scheme, 12,111 pilgrims have arrived under private Hajj schemes.

Currently, 85% of the government pilgrims (44,370) are residing in Makkah, while 15% (7,825) are stationed in Madinah.

To facilitate the pilgrims, a total of 652 assistants, 255 medical staff, and 183 welfare and technical staff have been deployed. According to the distribution of manpower, 791 personnel are providing services to pilgrims in Makkah, 280 in Madinah, and 19 in Jeddah.

Integrated transport arrangements have been finalized in Makkah to ease the movement of pilgrims to the Holy Haram. For this purpose, 230 buses have been made operational to provide uninterrupted shuttle services for the “Guests of Allah.”
