ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (DNA):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police will hold open courts at mosques during Friday prayers and at churches on Sundays to hear public complaints and improve citizens’ access to senior police officers.

An ICT Police official told (DNA News) on Thursday that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Capt (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry announced the initiative in a special message to citizens.

He said senior police officers would visit mosques on Fridays, interact directly with worshippers and hold open courts to listen to their complaints and concerns.

Similarly, open courts would be organised at churches on Sundays to facilitate members of minority communities and address their police-related complaints.

The official said the initiative was aimed at improving communication between the police and the public and making senior officers more accessible to citizens.

He said the arrangements would provide people with an opportunity to raise their problems directly with senior police officers at places of worship.
