LONDON, DEC 21 (DNA) — Overseas Kashmiris have hailed Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s reiteration of support for the Kashmir cause at the special OIC summit held in Islamabad to discuss situation in Afghanistan as encouraging.

President Tehreek-e-Kashmir TeK United Kingdom Raja Fahim Kayani in a statement said that reiteration of the right to self-determination for people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by Prime Minister Khan in his meeting with OIC Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha is a sign of Pakistan’s commitment to the just and sacred struggle of people of Jammu and Kashmir.

People across the globe and in UK hail the statement. “Prime Minister Khan spoke his heart out for people of Kashmir and Palestine at the OIC summit,” said Kayani, urging international community to heed call of Pakistan to end the occupation of IIoJK.

“The people of IIoJK are fighting for a legitimate, just cause that is enshrined in UN resolutions which is right to self-determination to decide their political fate,” Kayani said.

Prime Minister Khan told the OIC summit on Afghanistan in Islamabad that people of IIoJK and Palestine were waiting for a united response from the Muslim world to help them in their struggle.

TeK UK President Kayani said the convening of such a special OIC summit after 41 years is a sign that “conscience and humanity is yet alive.” “Kashmir too calls for such a summit to help take their struggle to a logical end. The OIC is best placed to convene and force India stop its war crimes, halt demographic changes and stop genocide in IIoJK,” Kayani said.

“Kashmiris thank Prime Minister Khan for his stand on Kashmir and urge the Government of Pakistan to hold a high profile international Kashmir conference in Islamabad,” President TeK UK Kayani observed. =DNA
