BEIJING, Jul 15 (DNA):Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Prof Ahsan Iqbal, stated that as China finalizes its roadmap for the future, the friendship between Pakistan and China will certainly advance.

He said that it will involve greater integration of Pakistan and China in the world and regional markets.

On what the world can learn from China’s development experience, the minister, who is currently in Beijing for an official visit, told CGTN, “I think China’s experience of development gives us four very valuable lessons.”

There are four prerequisites that any country needs for development: peace, political stability, continuity of economic policies, and continuous commitment to reform.

The minister said that China has shown all four principles to practice, and that is the reason that China has developed so fast, adding, that China has shown a great success story to the whole world by pulling 800 million people out of poverty in the shortest possible time.

Prof Ahsan Iqbal said that China has shared its development, and has shared its experience of development with other countries through the Belt and Road Initiative and Global Development Initiative. Pakistan and China enjoy a unique relationship.Â

Terming the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as a flagship project of friendship between the two countries and the Belt and Road Initiative, he said, “I think as China finalizes its roadmap for the future, certainly Pakistan and China friendship will also move forward, with greater integration of Pakistan and China in the world markets and the regional markets.”
