ISLAMABAD, JUL 21: Pakistan has formally summoned the German Ambassador to the Foreign Office in response to an aggressive attack on its consulate in Frankfurt by Afghan nationals.
The incident occurred amidst a protest in the German city, during which demonstrators stormed the consulate, pelted it with stones, and desecrated the Pakistani flag.
The attack took place on Saturday , with reports indicating that the assailants also made attempts to set the flag ablaze.
Visuals circulating on social media depict the chaos, showing the protesters forcefully breaching the consulate’s premises, engaging in vandalism, and ultimately removing the Pakistani flag.
It is believed that between eight to ten individuals were involved in the assault before fleeing the scene.
In response, Pakistani diplomatic officials have lodged a formal protest with the German Foreign Ministry, demanding a thorough investigation into the incident.
The Foreign Office has expressed serious concerns over the security breach and the provocative actions of the protesters.
The German authorities have assured that a detailed investigation will be carried out. However, as of now, German police have not made any arrests related to the attack.
