PM being captain of team should lead negotiations with PTI: Gillani

ISLAMABAD, SEP 01 /DNA/: Senate chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani says that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is the captain of the team, come to the front foot and led the negotiations on national issues and commented that PTI should also come to negotiations.

Yusuf Raza Gilani said that if there is dialogue, it is a good thing, terrorism is increasing due to lack of unity among political parties. We will support every decision of the Prime Minister on matters of national security. If the country is surrounded by problems, everyone should be united.

Chairman Senate said that PPP has always negotiated with opposition and exile, negotiated with Nawaz Sharif and signed the Charter of Democracy, all political parties should unite for the sake of the country.

He further said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is a subordinate politician, has a long-standing relationship with him, and wants to serve the country and the nation together with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

On the other hand, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Ali Khan denied talking about negotiations with the Speaker National Assembly and said that there is no intention to negotiate directly with the government. He said that as an opposition party, our speaker has meetings with the National Assembly, our meetings are related to running open and assembly affairs or opposition parliamentary affairs.
