PTI-backed candidates vow to use all options to snatch stolen mandate

PTI North President questions utility of form-45 in election exercise

ISLAMABAD, MAR 1 /DNA/ – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders made it clear that they would use all legal and constitutional avenues and would not rest until get the stolen mandate of the people of Rawalpindi back from mandate thieves, adding that the mega polls robbery committed in the district was even publically confessed by the commissioner Rawalpindi himself before the media.  

They said that after the public admission by the commissioner Rawalpindi that PTI backed independent candidates’ 7,000 lead were converted into defeat and even he named the people responsible for this polls heist.

These views were expressed by PTI backed independent candidates during a press conference along with PTI North President Seemabia Tahir here on Friday.

They were of the view that after bombshell rigging revelations by the commissioner, they did not need any further proof in their support; therefore their stolen mandate should be returned to them forthwith or else they would go to any extent to the snatch the public mandate in any case.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI North President and NA-57 candidate, Seemabia Tahir said that PTI Chairman-for-life Imran Khan had been struggling for years to ensure holding of free, fair and transparent elections in the country because only truly public elected representatives could pull the country from the prevailing untold crises.

She said that the government with public mandate could ease public woes through public-centric legislation and right policy formulation.

However, she lamented that the public mandate was humiliated and stolen and now they were sitting in the National Assembly to for a fake government after unprecedented polls robbery in the general elections 2024.

PTI leader stated that all PTI’s backed independent candidates for provincial seats in district Rawalpindi to apprise the nation of the polls fraud in the district, who secured victory with clear lead under form-45 but they were defeated by creating forged form-47. 

Seemabia Tahir underscored that if the form-45, which was legal and authentic document, had no value, it should be excluded from the election process altogether.

Speaking on the occasion, Talha Afrasiab Kiani, PTI General Secretary North Punjab vowed that these criminal gang of PDM had been looting national kitty ruthlessly; however, this time around the robbed the public mandate but the people would not let them digest and would get back the stolen mandate come what may.

He went on to say that they would use all legal and constitutional fora to get justice; however, he added that they would also stage peaceful but powerful protest across the country to correct the historic wrong.

Talha stated that people had only weapon of vote and if there was no respect and acceptance of their right and this organized structure of mafia was being imposed on the nation time and again, then it was exercise in futility to waste whooping Rs. 50 billion on conducting elections in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI candidate for PP14, Sardar Nasir Ali revealed that he won the seat with 17,000 clear cut lead under the form 45 but his clear victory was converted into a defeat under the form-47.

He stated that the heavy contingent of police instantly reached the areas of Returning officer’s offices and they were denied entry into the office. However, he said that when he forced his way into the office somehow, he was shell-chocked to see as there was no ROs in the office, wherein polls results were being fraudulently changed.

PTI candidate for PP-11 Ch. Nazir said that he stood victorious from all UCs as per form-45 but he was handed defeat under form-47, adding that after the commissioner Rawalpindi open admission, no doubt was left the scale of rigging carried out in the district.

Speaking on the occasion PTI candidate for PP-10, Ch. Ameer Afzal stated that he had all 230 polling stations form 45 under which he secured a victory with 15,000 votes lead. However, he stated that RO’s office were closed and the results were illegally changed to convert his clear victory into defeat with margin of 7,000 votes.

Ziad Khaliq Kiani, PTI backed independent candidate for PP-15, expressed alarm that the power-wielders should think as to where they lead the country. He said that it was not an independent where there was no respect for public mandate rather they shackled the nation in slavery, adding that political leadership should need to unite or else the public would lose trust on polls process which would be disastrous. 

Saad Ali Khan, PTI candidate for PP-12 disclosed that he secured 45,000 votes while the runner-up of PML-N candidate got 27,000 but like in elsewhere, RO office was closed to trample the results, resultantly PML-N candidate was declared victorious with 6,000 margin as per form-47.

Speaking on the occasion, Zain Abbasi, PP-6, stated that the mega polls robbery proved Imran Khan true who called them mafia, gang of criminals and fraudsters, as how they stole the public mandate in the daylight robbery.

Similarly, Col Shabbir Awan stood victorious from PP-7; however, in an interesting twist of events, he was declared loser after one week.

Moreover, PTI backed candidates from Rawalpindi including Ijaz Khan Jazi got 50,211 in PP-16 and PMl-N candidate secured 32,271 votes as per form-45 but the later declared winner.

Likewise, Raja Rashid Hafeez, secured 51192 votes and his rival remained second with 28,476 as per form-45 but even then PML-N candidate was fraudulently declared victorious.
