RIYADH, 03 AUG (DNA) — Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a call on Sunday from his Iran counterpart Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East. Prince Faisal affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to its role in maintaining security and stability. The foreign ministers discussed diplomatic efforts to deescalate tensions in the region.
The Saudi foreign minister also received two separate calls from his counterparts in Qatar and Jordan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Ayman Safadi, respectively. He discussed the importance of supporting efforts and unifying positions aimed at reducing escalation in the region.
The ministers highlighted the need to confront actions that could undermine security, ensure the restoration of freedom of maritime navigation in the Arabian Gulf and Red Sea, and mitigate the negative repercussions of the crisis. — DNA
