Muzaffarabad (DNA) Former Minister of Tourism and Transport Muhammad Tahir Khokhar while talking to the media said that Human trafficking has become a dangerous and unstoppable business with young lives at stake. Every day we hear the news of the deaths of Pakistani youth in marine accidents, but the government and related institutions seem to be unable to take effective measures to solve this problem.

Many Pakistani youths have lost their lives in the recent boat accidents. Human traffickers take millions of rupees from innocent youths by showing them dreams of traveling to Europe and throwing them into the sea through unsafe routes.

The network of these smugglers is spread across the cities and villages of the country where they lure the unsuspecting youth through regular offices and agents. Human traffickers have set up shops in every street, intersection and market where the business of sending the youth abroad illegally is booming.

Tahir Khokhar has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the deaths of young people and demanded the government to take strict action against human trafficking.

He said that in order to prevent human trafficking, the government not only needs to make strict laws, but also launch a public awareness campaign so that the youth can be aware of the dangers of going abroad through illegal routes. By making law enforcement agencies active, strict action should be taken against human traffickers and their networks should be rooted out.

It is demanded from the government to take strict measures against human trafficking, and to immediately close the shops of these illegal agents who rob the youth with dreams of going out.

He also appealed to the public not to be deceived by those who make false claims of going abroad through illegal means and avoid risking their lives, parents should save the lives of their children and not fall into the hands of the agents. This mafia has destroyed hundreds of houses.
