ISLAMABAD, MAY 5 /DNA/ – The United Business Group (UBG) leadership paid a visit to the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in the headshipship of SM Tanvir after the historical history of UGG in FPCCI 2024-25.
President SCCI, Fawad Ishaq arranged a well attended dinner in honour of visiting UBG leadership.
The visit was part of the post election victory celebration and also to evolve future strategy for the upcoming budget 2024-25 proposals.
Earlier the UBG delegation visited Mardan Chamber of Small trade and Small Industry and Mardan Women Chamber of Commerce and industry, Nowshera Chamber of Commerc and Industry.
The dinner held at President Fawad Ishaq’s residence in Peshawar and attended by UGG leadership delegation led by SM Tanvir( Patron-in- chief) President FPCCI , Atif Ikram, Zubair Tufail (President) Zafar Bakhtawri ( Secretary General) , Mian Zahid Hussain , businessman from Karachi and prominent business leader from peshawar and other cities of KPK also attended.
SM Tanvir ,while speaking at the dinner said that the visit was primarily aimed at to express thanks to the voters who hugely voted for UBG in the last FPCCI election and therein a historical victory in the election.
He further said that he fully agreed for all economical rights and assistance for KP province in the shape of electricity and energy royalty.
Mr Atif Ikram President FPCCI said that “we are making proposals for the upcoming budget of 2024- 25 to be sent to the government.
He further asked the business community to send its proposal for the purpose.
Mr. Zubair Tufail, President UBG said that the country is passing through major economic challenges and we all must join hands to persuade the political leadership for the Charter of Economy .
On the occasion Secretary General , UBG Zafar Bakhtawri said that only a businessman can lead the country and bring it out of the current economic crisis. He added that the youth must start idealising businessmen, instead of thinking of migration.He said that youth’s focus must be on entrepreneurship to enhance the export of Pakistan.
Fawad Ishaq President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry , while highlighting the economic problems of KPK province said the royalty of hydel power and gas is not sufficient ant that it should be enhanced by the federal government.
Senator Ilyas Bilour on the occasion thanked the visiting delegation and said that we will always be a part of UBG. He also highlighted the role of SM Munir for serving the business community in his life.
