The announcement of his death was made by his son, who shared the sad news with the diplomatic community in Islamabad. He stated, “It is with great sorrow that I announce that my father, Borhene El Kamel, Tunisian Ambassador to Pakistan, has passed away this morning in his hometown of Nabeul, Tunisia.”
Ambassador El Kamel had been struggling with health issues since his arrival in Pakistan, necessitating frequent trips to Tunisia for medical checkups.
