Shavkat Mirziyoyev Outlines Vision for Central Asia’s New Era

TASHKENT, Nov 14 (UzA/APP/DNA):On the eve of the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which will take place in Tashkent, a programmatic article by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, titled “Central Asia on the Verge of a New Era”, has been published.

The article provides a comprehensive overview of the processes that, in recent years, have fundamentally transformed the region and brought it to a new stage – a period of cooperation based on trust, openness, and mutual respect.

For the first time in history, a stable and solid atmosphere of mutual understanding has taken shape among the countries of Central Asia. The complete legal demarcation of state borders, agreements on the rational use of water resources, growing trade volumes, the activation of transport corridors, and the expansion of joint investment projects are creating a strong foundation for regional consolidation.

The article devotes special attention to strengthening Central Asia’s role as a full-fledged actor in international relations. In particular, it is noted that the “Central Asia Plus” cooperation formats reflect global partners’ recognition of the region as a unified space of stability, dialogue, and responsibility.

It is emphasized that regional cooperation must develop organically, on the principles of sovereignty, equality, and non-interference in internal affairs.

The President of Uzbekistan also outlined the region’s most pressing tasks. He presented his vision for the joint steps required to strengthen cooperation mechanisms, ensure collective security, develop regional trade, address environmental issues, enhance humanitarian ties, and coordinate foreign policy approaches.

Overall, the article reveals the true essence of the processes unfolding in the region. Through concrete examples, it demonstrates the deliberate and irreversible nature of this course, highlights Uzbekistan’s efforts and commitment to regional unity, and calls on the brotherly countries to be prepared to assume responsibility for the region’s shared future.
