ISLAMABAD, NOV 28 /DNA/ – Â Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 received Jean Bouquot, President of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) today, & welcomed him to Pakistan.
He underscored the critical role of the accountancy profession in strengthening financial governance and transparency, and in equipping Pakistan to meet modern challenges, including AI-driven transformation.
The DPM/FM appreciated the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) and highlighted ongoing cooperation with IFAC to enhance audit quality, support SMEs, and strengthen ethics and sustainability reporting.
He emphasised the importance of preparing Pakistani professionals for emerging global standards and technological shifts through deeper collaboration with IFAC.
