Aqeela Aziz to represent Pakistan in World University Games in China

ISLAMABAD, : Athlete Aqeela Aziz to represent Pakistan in World University Games to be held in China in August., Gwadar Pro reported on Wednesday. 

Aqeela, fromIslamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), has been selected for the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Judo team in the 52-kilogram-weight category, on the basis of her previous year’s achievements. 

Vice Chancellor Engineer Professor Dr. Athar Mahboob congratulated Aqeela, Director Sports Amjad Farooq Waraich and Director Women Sports Ambreen Maqsood on this achievement of bringing IUB to the international horizon.

The World University Games is scheduled to be held every two years. They were pushed back from 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. China is scheduled to hold the Asian Games from September 10-25 in Hangzhou.
