ISLAMABAD, Aug 14: A dignified and inclusive flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Supreme Court of Pakistan building on Friday to commemorate the 79th Independence Day.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Judges of the Supreme Court, the Registrar, officers, staff and their children.
In a symbolic expression of Pakistan’s constitutional commitment to equality, inclusion and religious harmony, the national flag was hoisted by children of the minority community, the Chief Justice and Judges of the Supreme Court, a Hindu Pandit, a Christian Priest, and a Muslim Cleric.
