The opening of Pak Afghan borders is a strategic step of government of Pakistan
to facilitate both the business community of both side, this was stated by QAISAR
KHAN DAUDZAI, Vice President FPCCI while appreciating the efforts of the local
administration for provision of food and maintaining proper screening of the
container Crews of the trucks stucked up at borders due to COVID-90 issue.
The Vice President FPCCI further said the local authorities on the borders should
allow those containers on priority which are carrying unpreserved and
pharmaceutical items however the health and safety measures should be
Properly maintained in clearance of the transport and sanitizing of the trucks and
containers when it come back from Afghanistan, he added.
In order to smoothly clearance of goods through borders he urged proper
quarantine mechanism to be established and implemented by both the
governments on the borders on their end.
