Gold price swells locally, drops internationally

ISLAMABAD, May 14 (DNA): The gold price in Pakistan on Saturday surged,
as the US dollar continues to dominate against the rupees.

The price of 24-carat gold has increased by Rs600 per tola. With this
spike, the price of 24-carat gold reached Rs135,900 per tola. Yesterday,
the price of 24-carat gold was Rs135,300 per tola.

The price of 10-gram gold of 24-carat has also been increased by Rs514
to reach Rs116,512. The price of 10-gram gold of 22-carat has also
popped and now is being traded for Rs106,803.

The price of 24-carat and 10-gram silver remained stable by Rs1560 and
Rs1337.44, respectively. In the international market, the price of gold
per ounce has also been dropped by $5.

The international rate for the gold per ounce has now reached $1813,
yesterday it was available at $1818.
