PESHAWAR, AUG 29 /DNA/ – In a bid to recover abducted Lt Col, his three other relatives and personnel of Frontier Corps, security forces are engaged in an operation throughout Kulachi Tehsil of Southern Dera Ismael Khan district since late Wednesday night.
Though so far no any statement or details issued by civil and security officers but local people are saying, “there exists curfew like situation in the areas whereas heavy contingents of security forces are high alert.”
Lt Col Khalid Amir Khan Gandhapur along with brothers including Assistant Commissioner Asif Amir Khan and NADRA official Fahad Amir Khan and nephew Muhammad Arbab Khan were picked up by unknown armed from village mosque when they along with other nears and dears present in connection with fateha of father late education officer Muhammad Amir Khan.
Later three other personnel of Frontier Corps were also abducted from same area. So far no one claimed responsibilities regarding these abductions but officials alleges involvement of banned militant group Tehrik Taliban Pakistan and its affiliated groups.
Meanwhile, at least three policemen killed and three others including an SHO injured when alleged militants police forces in Lakki Marwat and Swat districts.
