The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Palestine condemns in the strongest terms the military order issued by the occupation army to ban and prosecute the six Palestinian institutions, in implementation of the decision of the Minister of the Occupation Army, Benny Gantz, issued last month claiming that they are “terrorist organisations.” Israel as a whole and as an extension of the comprehensive aggression launched by the occupying state against our people, and it is also a blatant attempt to muzzle and silence the voices that expose and follow up the violations and crimes of the occupation at all levels, especially European and international ones. The Ministry holds the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for any harm caused to these institutions or their employees as a result of these arbitrary decisions that fall within the framework of collective punishments imposed on the Palestinian people.
The Ministry warns of the dangers and repercussions of this decision and the Israeli military orders and its consequences and repercussions on the entire conflict arena, and calls on the international community, particularly the European Union and the United States of America, to move quickly to compel the occupation to reverse its terrorist decision. In a related context, the Palestinian diplomacy was able to put on the agenda of the UN Security Council session to be held today in New York an explicit and clear item related to this Israeli decision to put the international community in the picture, details and dimensions of its repercussions, and at the same time, the international community put them before its responsibilities in providing international protection For our people in general and to stop this decision and protect the institutions of Palestinian civil society. The ministry is also following up its contacts and action at the international level to condemn this decision, and to mobilize the broadest international front pressure on Israel to reverse its decision.
