Mirza Afridi Calls for intensified efforts to strengthen the federation

Islamabad: 6 July 2021: Deputy Chairman Senate, Senator Mirza Muhammad Afridi hosted a dinner here at Parliament House in honour of the participants of National Workshop Balochistan. In his address to the participants, Deputy Chairman Senate, Mirza Muhammad Afridi hailed the 12 corps and Government of Balochistan on the successful organisation of the ‘National Workshop Balochistan-VII’.


In his remarks, Mirza Muhammad Afridi said that bringing together leadership, government officials and members from all walks of life are meritorious. This workshop will help in highlighting the issues of national and provincial importance in Balochistan and getting acquainted with the problems, he further added.


“Conducting workshops of such nature, with the best speakers around us, certainly leads to better awareness and enlightenment. The participation of people; associated with different sectors in the National Workshop Balochistan provides better insight of national and provincial issues, furthermore, it also provides opportunities for resolving issues of distinct nature”, Deputy Chairman Senate underlined.


Mirza Muhammad Afridi while accentuating the importance of the under-developed Province maintained that Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan which is rich in innumerable natural and human resources. There is an urgent need to utilize the available resources in the natural rich Province of the country.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is taking a keen interest in the development of Balochistan Province on a priority basis, he underscored.


“The path to development and prosperity of all sections of society lies in unified efforts. Civil society, religious leadership, the business community, Scholars, media and all other sectors should work together for the development and welfare of the country”, Mirza Afridi stressed while addressing the gathering.

Political leadership and government officials need to highlight the problems and assist the people in under-developed areas of the country, says Afridi.


“We should heighten efforts to strengthen the federation”, said Senate Deputy Chairman Mirza Mohammad Afridi.
While hailing the sitting government’s efforts for gearing up to work on the CPEC related projects, the Deputy Chairman Senate said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan is trying to gain regional connectivity through China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The multi-billion dollars project, once completed will appears to be the backbone of Pakistan’s economy. The whole country, particularly the people of Baluchistan Province will benefit from the mega project, he added.

In his concluding remarks, the Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi thanked all the participants for honouring the Federal House viz-to-viz through their presence.
