ISLAMABAD, Sep 27 (DNA): The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad has arrested nine suspects, including five foreign and four Pakistani nationals, in connection with an alleged illegal call-centre operation and online fraud.
An NCCIA official told APP on Sunday that the Cyber Crime Reporting Centre (CCRC) Islamabad took action in connection with FIR No. 156/2026 over alleged fraudulent activities carried out through electronic means.
The official said five foreign nationals and four Pakistanis were arrested during the operation.
NCCIA teams also recovered electronic devices and other evidence allegedly linked to the illegal call-centre operation. The recovered material would form part of the ongoing investigation.
Further investigation is underway to determine the nature and scale of the alleged fraud, as well as the possible involvement of other individuals or networks.
The NCCIA reiterated its commitment to taking action against organized cybercrime and online fraud and protecting citizens from fraudulent activities carried out through digital platforms.
