ISLAMABAD, MAY 9: /DNA/ – Business leader and former President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Dr. Shahid Rasheed Butt, on Friday, praised the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) as a symbol of national pride and a key pillar of Pakistan’s defence strategy that keeps hostile India in check.
He highlighted the PAF’s unmatched professionalism, technological edge, and operational excellence in a statement issued today. He noted that the Air Force continues to evolve as a modern and skilful force that dominates the skies.
Dr. Butt cited the PAF’s recent response to Indian aggression as a prime example of its capabilities. He said that Pakistan’s air response not only neutralised targets with precision but also damaged Indian morale.
He said that in a stunning display of air defence capability, Pakistan successfully downed six Indian aircraft during a tense exchange, delivering a clear and decisive message. The unexpected losses forced India to reconsider its strategy, opting to deploy drones instead of risking further humiliation and high-value aircraft.
This shift underscored India’s desire to minimise operational losses and the political fallout on domestic and international fronts.
He emphasised that the PAF’s modernisation drive, featuring cutting-edge aircraft and rigorous training regimes, has left India’s ageing and bureaucratically encumbered air fleet far behind. According to him, the PAF is always several steps ahead in strategy and execution.
“India may aspire to dominate the region, but its Air Force cannot match Pakistan’s speed, precision, or resolve,” Shahid Rasheed Butt said.
He added that PAF is a force that blends state-of-the-art technology with unwavering commitment to protect our skies.
He asserted that Pakistan’s air superiority serves as a deterrent and a guarantor of peace through strength. The PAF’s readiness ensures that any hostile move is countered swiftly and decisively. He called the Air Force a source of pride for every Pakistani citizen.
Pakistan’s air warriors are the guardians of our skies and our sovereignty, he said, adding that for India, the reality of the PAF’s dominance is not just inconvenient, it is a waking nightmare.
Dr. Shahid Rasheed Butt further emphasized that the Pakistan Air Force’s evolving combat doctrine, integrated with real- time intelligence and rapid response capabilities, ensures that the country remains fully prepared to counter any external threats.
He remarked that the PAF’s continued investment in locally developed systems, including JF-17 Thunder jets and advanced drones, displays Pakistan’s commitment to self-reliance in defence.
He also noted the growing collaboration between the PAF and local industry as a boost to national innovation and economic resilience. According to Butt, the psychological impact of PAF’s decisive operations has shifted regional strategic calculations.
He said India has realised that air superiority cannot be claimed through rhetoric or numbers alone; it is earned through precision, discipline, and strategic clarity, all of which the PAF has demonstrated repeatedly.
He urged continued national support for the Air Force, calling it “the sharpest sword in Pakistan’s arsenal and a guarantee of lasting peace.
