ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar engaged in high-level diplomatic discussions with his Saudi and Malaysian counterparts, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional stability and the Palestinian cause.
In a telephonic conversation with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Deputy Prime Minister strongly condemned the Israeli Prime Minister’s irresponsible and provocative remarks. He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, along with its unflinching backing for Palestine. In response, the Saudi Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s consistent and time-tested support for the Kingdom’s sanctity and inviolability. The two leaders agreed on the urgent need to convene an Extraordinary Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers to address the escalating situation in Gaza.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Dar also spoke with the Foreign Minister of Malaysia, Dato Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, discussing the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their rightful cause. The two leaders underscored the importance of coordinated efforts among Muslim nations to address the worsening humanitarian situation in the region.
