ISLAMABAD, SEP 25 /DNA/ – Pakistan has strongly refuted claims made by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence regarding a border skirmish near Spin Boldak, labelling the Afghan statement as “fake and fabricated” propaganda.
According to a fact-check issued by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the Afghan Ministry of Defence falsely claimed that a Pakistani post near Spin Boldak was destroyed and that Afghan forces suffered no casualties. Pakistan dismissed these assertions as a habitual distortion of facts by the Taliban leadership.
Contrary to the Afghan narrative, verified facts indicate that an attempted Afghan aggression in the Gulistan sector was successfully thwarted by Pakistani forces on the night of September 24 and 25. During the engagement, Pakistani forces inflicted heavy punishment on opposing Taliban posts.
Intelligence and operational reports confirm that at least 13 Afghan Taliban personnel were killed, with several others injured during the retaliatory action. Visual evidence of the incident, which has already been widely circulated on social media and covered by media outlets, corroborates the successful defense of the border and the damage inflicted on the Afghan Taliban following what officials described as a “cowardly attack.”
The fact-check statement noted that the Afghan Ministry’s attempt to distort the outcome is unsurprising, stating that the Taliban are “habitual liars having no moral and reputational standing.” Pakistan reiterated that its forces remain vigilant and capable of defending the border against any aggression.
