Pakistan, Tajikistan vow continued collaboration for peace, prosperity

ISLAMABAD, JUN 16: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan reaffirmed their commitment to bolster bilateral ties and regional cooperation during a telephonic conversation held on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.

In a gesture of goodwill and camaraderie, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt Eid greetings to President Rahmon and the people of Tajikistan.

He emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for peace, prosperity, and development in both nations.

President Rahmon reciprocated the sentiments, lauding the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan. Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral relations, highlighting mutual interests in trade, energy, and connectivity initiatives.

Ahead of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Astana, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Rahmon underscored their shared commitment to enhancing regional integration and cooperation.

They discussed key issues on the summit agenda and agreed on the importance of collective efforts towards sustainable development and stability in the region.

Furthermore, the leaders exchanged views on international developments, particularly within the Muslim world, and pledged to collaborate closely to promote peace and stability.
