PPP lawmakers warn of ‘silent war’ targeting youth through digital platforms

QUETTA, Jun 03: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MNA Nawabzada Jamal Raisani, flanked by Provincial Ministers Ali Madad Jattak and Asim Kurd Gello, warned in a press conference that Pakistan is facing a “silent war” designed to destabilize the country including Balochistan by manipulating the minds of youth through digital platforms rather than conventional warfare.

Jamal Raisani stressed that hostile forces are attempting to divide Pakistan and Balochistan using new tactics, including social media campaigns and encrypted communication apps. “This is a war fought not with explosives, but with manipulation of young minds,” he said, urging vigilance and unity.

He said that since 2018, when Basheer Zaib assumed command of a banned organization, the situation deteriorated further. Jamal Raisani claimed that Zaib’s aide Junaid has played a key role in operational activities.

He revealed that banned outfits are using apps such as Zangi for communication, Single App for operational planning, and Delta Chat for secret recruitment.

Highlighting a troubling trend, Raisani said that women are now being involved in extremist activities, which is unprecedented in Baloch traditions. He named individuals linked to separatist movements, including Shahnaz Baloch, attended Baloch Yakjehti Committee gatherings and maintained contacts with banned groups.

He further alleged that the Committee’s Balochistan leadership is under Dr. Sabiha, whose brother is part of a banned outfit, while its Karachi cell is led by Fauzia Shahwani.

Jamal Raisani emphasized that separatist politics under the name of Balochistan will not be permitted, reaffirming PPP’s stance against anti-state agendas. He warned that the enemy is not only using weapons but also running social media trends to spread propaganda.

Concluding his remarks, MNA Jamal Raisani urged the youth and public to remain united against conspiracies and resist divisive agendas. “The enemy wants to break Pakistan and Balochistan, but we will not allow it,” he declared, calling for collective action to safeguard national integrity.
