'Shocking collapse’: Fans slam Pakistan’s batting vs India

Ahmedabad, OCT 14: Pakistan and India are facing one another in the 12th match of the ICC World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Pakistan got off to a great start as they were 73-2 in 12.3 overs but they failed to carry the momentum and started playing slow and scored just 82 runs in the next 17.1 overs.

Skipper Babar Azam was bowled by Mohammad Siraj right after completing a half-century in the 30th over and then started the collapse as the Green Shirts were all out in the next 12 overs for 191 runs.

The fans took to their social media accounts and stated that the batting collapse tonight reminded them of the old days when Pakistan would get off to a good start and then lose all of their batting in quick succession.

However, a section of fans believe that the slow batting by Azam and Mohammad Rizwan put additional pressure on other batters.

Here is how fans reacted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Brilliant captaincy by Rohit Sharma helped the Blues restrict the arch-rivals to just 191 runs as Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya all bagged two wickets each.

It must be noted that the arch-rivals have crossed paths seven times in the ICC World Cup and the Green Shirts’ record isn’t something they would like to talk about as they have lost seven out of seven matches against the Blues.
