Tareen group demands withdrawal of case against Nazir Chohan

LAHORE, May 29 (DNA): PTI’s Jahangir Tareen group has reacted strongly to the case filed against MPA Nazir Chohan by Interior Adviser Shahzad Akbar and said that this move is tantamount to creating a new crisis for PTI and the already troubled government.

The spokesperson for the group termed the move by Shahzad Akbar as reprehensible and said that if there was a problem, it could have been resolved through dialogue.

According to the spokesperson, this was an extreme step which caused irreversible damage to Tareen Group’s efforts to resolve disputes and issues through dialogue. The group has demanded that Shahzad Akbar should immediately withdraw the case and resolve the issues through dialogue.

The case against Nazir Chohan has been filed at Lahore’s Race Course Police Station under Sections 506, 258, 189 and 153. The complainant, Shahzad Akbar, maintained that the accused, Chohan, leveled baseless allegations against him in a TV program.
