RIYADH, SEP 29: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Riyadh on Tuesday, where they discussed bilateral relations and developments in the region.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and the UAE and discussed the latest regional developments.
Sheikh Mansour’s visit to Saudi Arabia came at the invitation of Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, who received the UAE vice president earlier on Tuesday.
Following his meeting with Sheikh Mansour, Prince Khalid said the visit was aimed at continuing consultations and exchanging views, amid a commitment by the leaderships of both countries to strengthen cooperation and maintain close coordination across various fields.
“I was pleased today to meet my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” Prince Khalid wrote on X, describing Saudi Arabia as Sheikh Mansour’s “second home.”
Sheikh Mansour, who also serves as the UAE’s deputy prime minister and chairman of the Presidential Court, conveyed greetings from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Crown Prince. MBS asked Sheikh Mansour to convey his greetings to the UAE president in return.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE share longstanding ties that play an important role in coordinating Gulf positions in response to regional and international challenges and safeguarding their common interests.
