ISLAMABAD, MAY 10: Pakistan’s Armed Forces have achieved a landmark military victory through Operation Banyān-um-Marsoos, decisively countering India’s failed offensive Operation Sindoor.
Between the night of May 6–7 and May 10, Indian forces suffered repeated setbacks as Pakistan’s precision-guided Fatah Missile System neutralized key threats across land and air.
During the conflict, Pakistan successfully shot down five advanced Indian fighter jets, including three French-made Rafales, one Sukhoi Su-30, and one MiG-29. Not a single Pakistani aircraft was lost in retaliation.
From May 7 to 9, the Pakistan Air Force also destroyed 77 Israeli-manufactured armed drones used by India. Multiple Indian military outposts along the Line of Control (LoC), including brigade and battalion headquarters, were reduced to rubble, marking a strategic collapse for Indian ground forces.
On the night of May 7–8, Pakistan intercepted and destroyed an Indian missile project in Dinga. The following day, several BrahMos supersonic missile attacks were thwarted by Pakistan’s air defense systems. India’s attempts to strike seven locations within Pakistan were overwhelmingly outmatched by Pakistan’s retaliatory strikes, targeting 26 Indian military sites with Fatah-1 missiles, which devastated Indian airbases and field positions.
Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos has been hailed as a turning point. Former National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. (R) Nasser Janjua stated, “The operation drove the final nail in the coffin of Indian aggression.” According to military sources, India’s unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty must be reversed, and its covert terror operations in Balochistan and KP must cease.
Meanwhile, on the diplomatic front, Pakistan remained composed and confident. Despite being at war, the country secured a $1 billion IMF bailout package. Allies including China, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye stood firmly behind Pakistan, while Western nations maintained a position of neutrality. Only Israel openly backed India.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also received praise from the UAE for efforts leading to a ceasefire agreement. Pakistan’s civil-military leadership remained united, and national sentiment surged in support of the armed forces.
India not only lost on the battlefield but also on the diplomatic and media fronts. Pakistan’s media effectively countered Indian misinformation campaigns, exposing internal unrest and minority suppression within India, including discrimination against Sikhs.
Operation Banyān-um-Marsoos will be remembered as a historic chapter of resilience and strategic brilliance—a golden victory etched in the annals of Pakistan’s defense legacy.
