Pakistan’s national javelin throw champion, Yasir Sultan, secured a bronze medal in the javelin event at the ongoing Asian Throwing Championship 2025, held in South Korea.
Competing as Pakistan’s sole representative in the event, Sultan delivered a best throw of 77.43 metres on his sixth and final attempt, earning him third place on the podium.
His series included throws of 75.79 metres, 72.57 metres and 72.88 metres in the second, third and fourth rounds respectively. His first and fifth throws were ruled as fouls.
Yasir Sultan’s performance marked a strong showing for Pakistan in the continental competition.
