ISLAMABAD, Feb 04 (dna): President Dr Arif Alvi said that Pakistan will
continue to extend its support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle
for the right to self-determination.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day in
Islamabad Thursday, he urged the United Nations and international
community to play its due role in resolving the longstanding dispute.

The President said there are numerous UN resolutions demanding
plebiscite in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Dr Arif Alvi
said over eight million people have been besieged in the occupied
territory by nine hundred thousand Indian troops.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has called upon the United Nations
and international community to take serious note of atrocities in Indian
Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day in
Islamabad today, he said India must allow the UN to investigate the
grave human rights violations in occupied territory.

The Foreign Minister said people of IIOJK are in extreme misery as India
has unleashed a reign of terror against the innocent people, which is a
clear violation of UN resolutions. He said operating under draconian
laws with impunity, Indian occupation forces are committing unspeakable
atrocities to silence the voice of the Kashmiris and break their will.

Foreign Minister said India s increased ceasefire violations along the
Line of Control and the use of cluster ammunition and heavy artillery
should end immediately. He said Pakistan has already shared extensive
and irrefutable evidence of India s active planning, promoting, aiding,
abetting, financing and executing terrorist activities in Pakistan.
